72% of Welsh Voters Say Recycling Is a Top Priority
Recycling Remains High on Wales’ Political Agenda
While some global voices push back against green policies, Wales stands firm. A recent survey has revealed that 72% of Welsh voters consider recycling a top political priority, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
Wales Leads the UK in Recycling
Conducted by Redfield and Wilton Strategies for Alupro between 7 and 9 March 2025, the poll surveyed 1,100 adults across Wales. The findings show that environmental concerns remain front and centre for the majority of voters, with 56% approving of the Welsh government’s efforts on recycling.
Wales currently boasts the highest local authority recycling rate in the UK, reaching an impressive 66.6%. This commitment to waste reduction places the country at the forefront of Britain’s sustainability efforts.
